Another way to use gel pens or markers is to color in tiles drawn in black. Once again you can choose to add as much or as little color as you want.

Using Color Pencils

We’ve all used color pencils to color in doodles and coloring books when we were kids. Coloring Zentangle Art is the same.

I prefer using either Stampin’ Up watercolor pencils or Faber Castell color pencils. Both have vivid colors.

When using water color pencils I have the flexibility of going over my tile with a water-brush or a paint brush to add a water color effect to my art.
